…sure hope you’re staying warm, wherever you are; nippy out there, as you may have noticed. Stay well!
Productive and fun rehearsal last Thursday- thanks for all the hard work, on your own and together. The program is pulling together nicely, and our one remaining rehearsal should suffice to firm up and polish all the repertoire. It should be a lovely, rather modest Music Service, and you’ll enjoy Michael’s pieces and Paige’s homily, as always. A few quick reminders:
1. RETURN OF BINDERS. Please be sure to return your binder as soon as you’re through with it:
– now, for folks whose ChoirYear is over for now; or-
– right after the Music Service (at church or, better, at the party), if you won’t be singing on Christmas Eve; or-
– at the end of the Christmas Eve service, if you’re there.
Critically important that all BINDERS BE IN (at church or to our house- 4093 Fragile Sail Way, Ellicott City 21042) NO LATER THAN CHRISTMAS EVE. THANKS SO MUCH FOR THAT!
2. Logistics Reminders:
– Full rehearsal of whole program, in order, on Thursday. Please be on time. Chalice Singers- please sit as usual within your sections; we’ll come out to sing. It’s an open rehearsal, so invite friends.
– Music Service: concert dress (white over dark, with stoles);
– Please be in seats by 8:45 on the 17th; we’ll hope to have a non-rushed warm up and mini-rehearsal, including the Lights;
– ChoirParty immediately follows the Music Service, potluck at Benjamins; please bring some food or drink to share- perhaps including a main dish (there are currently three, but a couple more would be nice); spice, partners, family and friends very much invited.
A note follows with some performance comments, based on last Thursday.
Stay well- be good to your voice!
Happy Season to all-
Tom and Carol
