Dear Choristers-Michael and I have decided to do a little adjusting of anthems. With the sermon-topic change for this Sunday, we both feel that Come Thou Fount is really inappropriate in both content and mood (affect). So, we are substituting for it this attached very beautiful and moving arrangement of Thomas Dorsey’s great gospel hymn, Precious Lord, Take My Hand, which most of us have sung before. This copy is the marked-up copy- please print it out if you can so that you can learn/review it for Thursday. I’ll also bring the published hard copies on Thursday, and the markings should be in there already.
Dear Newbies- thanks SO much for learning this so quickly. You will find the parts-sound-files on the Choir Website as always, as well as a You Tube performance or two.
We will sing Come Thou Fount on November 19- it’s after all one of the great Thanksgiving praise-anthems!

See y’all Thursday- heavy-duty work on Music Service Music, and a Chalice Singers rehearsal too!

Sincere Thanks for your flexibility and ability to learn really fast!

Tom
