BINDER ORDER, ETC. (Jan 31 2019)

Good Morning, Igloo Dwellers-

Nippy out there, no? No driving problems that I know of, so we should be on for Choir tonight- lots to do! Just drive carefully, and watch out for black ice.
NEW POLICY: because of the shortage of hymnals (the Music Ministry did buy a bunch for the congregation this year, but not enough to make up the shortfall in our expanding congregation), the Choir will be using photocopies of the hymns and other service songs for the foreseeable future. This is legal, as long as we own many copies of the hymnals already; eventually, we’ll probably use projection. So:
I’ll undertake to have copies of the hymns for all Choir Sundays out for you on Thursdays, to get into your binder, in service order, right away. Sometime, in case of last-minute changes, the copies may be on your seats on Sunday mornings. Save these copies- we may well re-use them later. Thanks.
As always, PLEASE CHECK THE SIGNS WHEN YOU COME IN, and be sure to take any new music and get it into binder order- this saves SO much rehearsal time- Thanks!
Please note: we are singing TWO versions of “When Israel Was in Egypt’s Land“: the John Work version we know already (as Introit), and the hymnal version (#104, as closing hymn).
This Sunday is unusually complex (and wonderful as always)- I’ve attached the binder order for this Sunday and beyond- the new pieces (hymns) should be on the table, of course.

Stay warm- bundle up- don’t lie down in the snow-

Sargent Tom of the Yukon
